Faith and Love in Action in the Philippines

We invite you to watch this video that tells the story of the Santo Niño Medical Mission.

Fr. Efren Esmilla and Sr. Loretto (Lory) Mapa, RA began working in the Filipino Apostolate in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in 1993.  Ten years after a charismatic prayer community was formed, the group felt called to reach out to the poor, especially in their native Philippines.  The Santo Niño Medical Mission was thus born, sponsored by the Filipinos in America Today (FIAT).  Now on its thirteenth year, FIAT offers this video as a way to to tell its story of faith, of love, of action on behalf of the poor, of hope. "FIAT" also recalls the YES of Mary at the Annunciation, a 'yes' which is central to their spirituality.  They've named this project:  "Faith and Love in Action Give Hope!"

We thank Sr. Gertrude, RA of the West Philadelphia community and her team for this beautiful video.
