Worcester, MA | Philadelphia, PA | Chaparral, NM
Dear Assumption Friends,
After Black Friday and Cyber Monday comes Giving Tuesday!
Thanks to your help, the Assumption Sisters continue their ministries of transformative education with the spirit of St. Marie Eugenie Milleret. Since their founding in Paris in 1839, the Assumption Sisters live and love according to the Gospel and are committed to effecting change in society through prayer and education. Now an international congregation of 1000+ Sisters of over 40 nationalities, they respond to the challenges and calls of society in 32 countries around the world.
In the United States, these ministry areas where relationships are built include (but are certainly not limited to!):
Worcester, MA at the Assumption Center and the parish of St. Peter and St. Andrew through mentoring, English as a Second Language classes, community garden, literacy program.
Chaparral, NM at Casa Maria Eugenia, St. Thomas More parish, and with the immigrant community on the border.
Lansdale, PA at St. Stanislaus parish, local hospitals, and Vietnamese communities.
Philadelphia, PA with faith sharing groups and Our Lady of Hope and St. Francis de Sales parishes.
With young college graduates through the AMA program (Assumption Mission Associates) who live in volunteer communities and serve with the Sisters, the Assumption Alumnae Association Abroad (AAAA), and Friends of the Assumption.
We are deeply grateful for your friendship and generosity and ask that you keep us in your prayers. If you are able to give financially at this time, we invite you to give from now until midnight on December 1st, for Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving.
