In the presence of her community and the Assumption Family gathered at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit in Worcester on the morning of August 8th, Sr. Catherine Anne of the Cross renewed her vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. In her heart she desires to pronounce her vows for life, but the Church asks her to pass this stage of renewal of vows for two years.
After making her first profession of vows in Philadelphia in 2009 and moving to the Worcester community for her juniorate, Sr. Catherine has pursued theological studies at Assumption College and assumed being coordinator of the Assumption Center's English as a Second Language Program at St. Peters Church. One of her greatest joys is being Head Gardener of the Center's Semillas de Vida garden. Sr. Catherine also provides spiritual accompaniment to our AMA volunteers in Worcester.
Congratulations, Sr. Catherine, and God bless you!
