Cyclone Winston -- the most powerful cyclone ever to have hit the Southern Hemisphere -- slammed into the island nation of Fiji on February 19th, 2016.

Sr. Anne Joseph and art have been good friends for a long time.  Recently she and the staff of the John F. Kennedy Behavioral Health Center exhibited the work of several artists at the Gold Standard Cafe in West Philadelphia.

The tradition of the Quinceañera, the celebration of a girl’s fifteenth birthday, goes back a long way in Latin American culture; it’s a big celebration, with a lot of food, music, dancing and fancy dresses, where a girl’s family and friends gather to welcome her to the next stage of her life.  

Assumption Center in Worcester sprang into action last week after the holiday break.  Our different programs:  English as a Second Language (ESL), Third Day (Literacy), Girls with DREAMS, Afterschool Mentoring, and Knitting Circle are all up and running.
