Religious of the Assumption Sr. Nuala Cotter retired in 2012 from a career teaching college students to become provincial superior of her congregation's U.S. province. Since 2018 she has served as provincial treasurer.
The COVID19 pandemic has affected all facets of our life. At Assumption Center, the summer has challenged us to find ways to continue our ministry to the families and children of the Main South/Columbus Park neighborhood in Worcester.
On June 3rd, 2007 -- Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity -- in the rain-drenched piazza of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, Pope Benedict XVI declared Mother Marie Eugenie of Jesus a saint of the universal Church.
April 30th is the Foundation Day of the Religious of the Assumption. This year we celebrate the 181st anniversary of our founding. Let us rejoice and give thanks!
March 10th is a special day for the whole Assumption family. On this day in 1898 St. Marie Eugenie went home to God and so the Church designated it as her feastday.
From August 4 - 6, the whole Province was gathered at our community in Lansdale to live three days of a contemplative reading of our first 100 years as a Province.
